How much are classes?
You’ll find our classes are very reasonably priced.
We do not charge enrolment/admin fees.
Let’s Boogie (18ths-3yrs) - $13.50 per class
Fairy Ballet (3yrs-5yrs) - $14 per class
Creative Ballet (5yrs-9yrs) $16.50 per class
Classes are paid in a lump some for the term.
Can I pay per class?
Our dance school is very small and places are limited. It is for this reason that we can not offer drop in or pay as you go classes.
Do children need to wear a uniform?
There is no ‘uniform’ at Boogie Shoes.
Children below the age of 3 (Lets Boogie class) can wear whatever their little hearts desire. A ‘ballet outfit’, princess dress, comfortable leggings and a top, superhero costume, trackies, frozen dress ups, tutu. Skies the limit 😉
Bare feet for this class is fine.
Children over the age of 3 are encouraged to wear a leotard (colour of your choice) & ballet shoes. Skirts and tutu’s are optional (but much loved by the children). Boys are encouraged to wear shorts or leggings with a tshirt/singlet & ballet shoes.
In the winter months stockings and cardigans/crossovers are recommended. The reason behind this ‘ballet outift’ is that it is unrestrictive for the dancer and allows the teacher to observe technique and maintain safe practice.
Where can I buy ballet clothes/items?
There are many shops selling leotards, stockings, ballet shoes, skirts, tutu’s including:
-Best & Less
There are also some great deals online.
How long are the terms?
Our classes run in line with the School terms, which usually run for 8-10 weeks.

We also have ‘viewing days’, where we invite families to watch the whole class.
I’ve booked a trial class for my son/daughter. If I wish to enrol them afterwards will there be a spot available in the class?
Yes! If you have booked in for a trial that means there is a spot available in the class. After the class, please let Renae know whether you’d like to enrol within 3 days .

'Let's Boogie' is an engaging introduction to Dance with a combination of ballet, jazz, story telling, singing, musical instruments and lots of fun and giggles. Children are encouraged to dress up in something fun, perhaps a fairy, super hero, frozen, princess or a minion and twirl, jump, roll, twinkle, slide, run, skip and hop to classical music, pop, nursery rhymes, the wiggles, the fairies and more exciting tunes. 'Fairy Ballet' is a magical introduction to classical ballet! Children learn basic ballet technique while exploring movement through imaginative exercises, stories and props. Children are invited to dress up, bring props to dance with and contribute ideas throughout the lesson. Our little dancers also have the opportunity to perform for their parent/guardian at the end of each class during ‘creative dance time'.
$12.00 /per class
'Creative Ballet' gives Children the opportunity to learn more difficult ballet technique and terminology through exercises based on the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus (Grade one and two). The last 15mins of the lesson is devoted to creative movement and self-expression. Students collaborate together to choreograph movements and dances using a selection of props. This is often a child’s favourite part of the lesson. Parents are invited into the studio at the end of class, which gives the students a chance to perform for their family in a relaxed environment.
